Thank you to Sourcebooks Fire and Colored Pages Book Tours for allowing me to be part of this book tour.

Kay is seventeen when she leaves her hometown behind after her friend Ivy passes away. When her parents go on holiday without her, she suddenly has to move back in with her cousin. Her homecoming doesn’t go smoothly at all, though. The very first thing she finds waiting on her bed is a strange, anonymous letter. It lays out a scary countdown. Something bad will happen each day, from Tuesday to Monday. Now Kay has just one week to work out who’s threatening her before time runs out.

I honestly didn’t have big expectations when I picked this book up, but I ended up liking it more than I thought I would, and I found myself getting more and more invested the further I read. It quite reminded me of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder with its small-town atmosphere and feeling of digging up secrets. I’d say the tension isn’t quite high here, which is understandable since it is a YA mystery/thriller. Still, it keeps you turning the pages easily.

And I loved how the characters felt like real people. They had depth and developed well as the story went on, which kept everything interesting. And the plot twist? I was so sure I’d figured things out, but I was totally wrong, lol. It was such an easy read too; nothing too complicated or heavy, just a solid, surprising mystery that was really fun to follow along with.

Overall, it was a really enjoyable read. If you like a mystery/thriller that feels like you’re racing against time where no one feels entirely trustworthy, and secrets are everywhere, this one's for you!

Molly Tells the World: A Gentle Reminder That Being Different Is Okay

Molly Tells the World by Krista Weltner is a touching children’s story that explores dyslexia, self-acceptance, and the quiet fears many children carry with them. Our main character is Molly, a kind and intelligent young girl who has dyslexia but is terrified of letting her friends know. Like many children her age, Molly just wants to be normal, to fit in, to be liked, and to avoid standing out for the “wrong” reasons.  Molly’s fear is relatable. Children with learning differences often feel pressured to hide their struggles, worried that others might see them as less capable, strange, or even unlikable. This emotional reality is portrayed with great sensitivity in the story. Molly is not shown as weak or incapable, in fact, she is good at school, friendly, and smart. Yet behind that confident exterior, she carries anxiety and self-doubt about her dyslexia, which makes her character feel very real.  Everything begins to shift when a new presence enters Molly’s life, Leeann.
